Name That Celebrity Sketch, the Fourth
It's been a while, but I need to be doing this—the more work I do in my sketchbook, the more I really see how my eye and hand have fallen out of practice. I do a lot of detail work and texture work, but my gestural drawing skills are really rusty.
Anyway, in case you didn't see the earlier «Name That Celebrity Sketch» instances, here's how it works: I sit in front of the television watching a regular show or a movie, like any old couch potato. When I see someone on screen at a good angle or expression and enough detail, I hit pause and open up my sketchbook. I doodle for a while, scan it and upload it and you tell me who it is. Write your guesses in the write-in field. Don't worry if you don't know the character or the actor's name or the correct spelling, as I'll consolidate the votes before the final tally. Hopefully I can do this well enough that someone out there on the intarwebs can recognize and correctly identify the subject of my sketch. If not, I need to keep working at it.
Feel free to use the comment field to provide feedback or critique or suggestions. If your comment doesn't appear right away, it's because I screen the comments to make sure that they don't contain clues to the identity of the subject in the drawing. If they do, I'll make the comment visible after the poll ends.
I gave up on this one because I was tired and my electric eraser ran out of eraser. The paper was already getting pretty torn up and it's just sketchbook stuff. Nevertheless, I'm making a note to myself to pack spare eraser refills and to start working on actual sketch paper, not just the Moleskine blank books. The paper in the Moleskines really isn't made to be abused by repeated sketching and erasing.
