Ooops, no breakfast

Well, first, it was a mistake to go to the grocery store after the gym last night. I needed what I bought, but it's hard enough carrying a 28lb bucket of kitty litter home when I'm not exhausted. When I've just pushed my physical limits to their breaking point, I'm not ready for the kitty litter.

Anyhow, I like having raisins in my oatmeal in the morning, so I made it a point to pick up raisins. Perfectly logical thing to do, right? Well, I forgot that I ran out of oatmeal.

Should it Stay or Should it Go?

I've been thinking about shaving off the goatee for a while. I like how it accentuates my chin, making me look like I've got a jawline, but at the same time, I sort of see it as hiding my face. I can gain ten pounds and it doesn't matter because there's this fake protruding chin instead of the beginnings of a double-chin. So I like to be able to see myself as I am and keep myself accountable.

And hey, I'm just asking your opinion, not asking you to control my life. That's why there's no "it's up to you" option on the poll. I know it's up to me. I still want to know what you think.

Science experiment you can try at home!

OK, so one of the cool things about the metric system is how each system of measurement relates to other systems of measurement. I remember from school that one cubic centimeter describes a volume equal to one milliliter, which in turn weighs one gram. pretty cool. All the "standard" system has is "a pint's a pound the whole world round." Yeah, whatever.

So here's what I did. I stepped on the scale, which said that I weighed 80.2 kilograms. I filled a 1 liter bottle with water and drank it, then stepped on the scale. 81.2 kilograms now.

Empirical proof! Yes!!!

Don't eat stuff off the sidewalk!

Rode 19 miles today. Had a great time and only averaged 12 miles per hour. But I did a lot of climbing, which was great! I had a few moments where I wondered if I was gonna make it, but actually for the most part, the mountains in SF are pretty gradual from the West. And the first thing I did was went to Ocean Beach, so it was all going East from there.
