Spring Open Studios Is Upon Us

Mark your cal­en­dars and get ready to come on down to Open Stu­dios at the Art Explo­sion. The essen­tial details follow:

Pre­view Thurs­day April 23^rd 5pm – 8pm
Open­ing Recep­tion Fri­day April 24^th 7 – 11pm
Open Stu­dios Sat & Sun April 25^th & 26^th 12 – 5pm

Between the three Art Explo­sion loca­tions there are over 100 artists open­ing their doors so that you can come and see how we work, see new art­work that has­n’t yet gone to gal­leries, and even works in progress. The artists will be avail­able to answer ques­tions, sell their work, and just chat.

There are three loca­tions for Art Explosion:

2425 17^th Street @ Potrero (real­ly @ Hamp­shire)
744 Alaba­ma Street @ 19^th Street
2345 Har­ri­son Street @ 19^th Street

But of course, I’m not unbi­ased — if you can make it only to one of these loca­tions, please come by the 17^th Street loca­tion, and drop in to see me in Stu­dio 13. This will be my first Open Stu­dios in my new solo stu­dio space, and I will have new pieces, both Lux­o­graph­ic prints and pen and ink draw­ings, on dis­play and for sale.

Still, don’t come just for me. You won’t want to miss the new work of the oth­er Art Explo­sion artists. Since I work here I’ve got­ten to see a lot of the new work and I’m very impressed by the show we’ll have this Spring. It’s a great group of artists here and a tremen­dous range of styles and philosophies.
