Sex Bomb

Nothing corrects a foul mood in the morning like a ride on the cablecar with Tom Jones cranked up on the iPod. Weather.com says it’s 65 in SF right now, but it feels more like 75. It’s probably going to be a scorcher today, but it was just about perfect riding in to work.

This morning I was feeling sorry for myself because there’s no one sharing my bed. Well, you know what? People are having sex all over the world, but how many of you gets to ride a cablecar to work? Ha! I’ve got it made.

I kinda miss snow sometimes. I miss days when it would snow so much that the entire state would shut down and declare a state of emergency and no one would have to go to work. Then I remember the rest of the time, which was mostly shoveling out the driveway for the third day that week just so I could get out to work.

I like 65 and sunny on the cablecar better.

Cable cars are a form of transportation that was popular in the 19th century. Basically they’re like streetcars or trolleys that are pulled by a cable that runs beneath the track.

There used to be cable cars in Melbourne (until 1940) and Sydney (until 1900) and other places in the world. Currently, San Francisco is the only city in the world with a running cable car system.

Cable cars are nice. I used to live in Gothenburg for 8 months. They have cable cars all over that city but I do think it’s the only city in Sweden that has ’em.

I must say that I did think the title of your post referred to me. Hmph.

I didn’t know that there were cable cars running in Gothenburg! That’s great! I thought SF was the only city with a running cable car system.
