On needing sleep

I went to bed at 9:45 last night, intend­ing to get enough sleep to get up ear­ly to run this morn­ing. I’ve got­ten pret­ty rea­son­able at wak­ing up, some­thing I nev­er was when I was younger. To bed before 10:00pm is real­ly what I need to do; in fact, if I’m going to get up at 5am I should real­ly be to sleep by 9pm, right?

Well, I slept right through to 7:30am, which is about the time that I should be get­ting out the door and onto the bus. Don’t know why I need­ed that sleep, but once again I did­n’t get to run this morn­ing. That’s kind of frustrating.

I’m going to try get­ting to bed ear­li­er, but I’m prob­a­bly not going to get home until almost 10pm tonight, and that’s with­out stop­ping for din­ner. I want more time. MORE TIME.
