Luckily I looked this up before using it, rather than after. I was going to use it as a near-synonym for *credibility*.

Funny. I have to work with
Funny. I have to work with this word, because I know exactly what it means but every time I see it my mind says “disbelief.” Perhaps at a young age I got it confused with incredulity. Another similar problem I have is with enervate. Perhaps because it sounds so similar to energize I tend to initially read it as its antonym until my brain catches up to my eyes.
