OK, gotta give it up

I know that wilhemina will rub my nose in this one, but I have to admit that NYC is one cool town.

Not quite willing to trade SF in, mind you, but I’ve had two really great days among you N’yawkahs. Even though it poured down rain on me, I dug hanging out in Chelsea and the Village, and Central Park was great for running.

So, yeah. NYC thumbs up.

I’ve gotta agree. NYC would be my first choice, even over SF…except for the weather. And, even with the weather, NYC is fantastic. It’s THE city.

  2. We went past the reservoir,
We went past the reservoir, but not on the reservoir path itself. I’m sorry, but I don’t know my way around that well. I pretty much counted on following the other blue-shirted people to find my way, and even in the City I let lead the way or else relied on cab drivers to know how to get from point A to point B.

Except Friday, I guess. Having a city built mostly on a single grid is a good idea, so I found it pretty easy to walk from Midtown through Chelsea to the Village. NYC seems a lot easier to navigate than I remember from coming here as a teenager.

Everyone that participated in Run Hit Wonder got a blue shirt with our race number on it.

  4. Might have been a training
Might have been a training run or something, but Run Hit Wonder happened on Thursday, so that’s when you would have seen the mob of 10,000 blue-shirted people running in the park.

  5. So nice to see you, too.
So nice to see you, too. That was a damn fine burger!

Seeing you made me really want to go to the playa. Now I’m all sad not to go.
