Paying attention to photography

This morning I went looking through the SFGate’s collection of Chronicle photography. First I got pretty annoyed at Fred Larson’s Moon Photo Collection because (in my own opinion) he’s caught some great subject matter and put obvious time and dedication into getting the shots, and then fallen back to some really static and downright annoying composition.

However, then I came across a great photo he did of the reflection of the Golden Gate Bridge in a raindrop, and that redeemed his whole body of work for me.

Had a nice time looking through other people’s photos this morning. The highlights:

One of the best Golden Gate Bridge photos I’ve ever seen, Fred Larson

Mt. Davidson Cross, Liz Hafalia

Don’t let me forget to give props to some of the fantastico photographers on my friends list here: each in their own way, you all inspire me. Those interested in photography, click, don’t walk to check out and his alter-ego , , and .
