Vertiginous

Prone to cause vertigo.

Heck, I know what vertigo is, but I didn’t make the connection when I saw the word vertiginous applied equally to Kandinsky’s early painting and Frank Lloyd Wright’s architecture. The context didn’t give me quite enough to go on, so I looked it up. And that’s the rule: when I look up a word it goes here.
